BACKGROUND:

50% of the grapes for Two Islands Sauvignon Blanc were grown in the deep silt loam soils of the famed Wairau Valley plains where they were picked late in the season at perfect ripeness levels. These grapes were crafted to deliver ripe tropical fruit flavours and rich mouth feel.

The other 50% of Two Islands grapes were grown on the picturesque river terraces of the more southerly Awatere Valley; Awatere grapes are synonymous with green, herbal aromatics and complex minerality on the palate. The grapes were cool fermented in 100% stainless steel tanks to retain the freshness and vibrancy that Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc lovers have come to expect.
